PostSubject: Jake's Memorial   Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:42 pm

As you know its already been a year since Jake has passed. Since his burial/cremation was in California I thought it would be a great idea to have a proper memorial for him here in Las Vegas.
Lets get together and raise money so that we can get him a memorial stone thats engraved, and if we can raise enough money to plant a tree with it. I was thinking a willow tree, but everything is open for suggestions.

So if you would be interested in helping, please let me know.

After we have the money raised we will order a stone and a tree, then we will all pick a park that we want this to take place at. If they will allow it, we'll all help plant the tree. I was also thinking that we get a box that we'll paint and decorate...everyone can write a letter or place an item in the box that reminded them of Jake. We could also bury that while we plant the tree.

I found one website that will ship a weeping willow to us. They come in three different prices/height ranges.
7ft. plus- 79.85
5-7 ft.- 59.95
3-4 ft.- 29.95
These are only shipping feet, the tree itself grows up to about 10ft a year.

Rest in paradise Jake. And love&&light to all reading this.

You should, or we can, go around to local nurseries and ask them to donate it. I do it at work all day long so I'm sure we could at least get the tree.
