Great Questions. Empty
PostSubject: Great Questions.   Great Questions. Icon_minitimeFri Jan 22, 2010 12:14 am

Right now, Im reading What The Bleep Do We Know. I decided as I go through the chapters I would summarize everything up for you guys and post it here :]

Asking yourself these deeper questions opens up
New ways of being in the world. It brings in a breath of
Fresh air. It makes life more joyful. The real trick to life is
Not to be in the know but to be in the mystery

Great Questions
What IS a great question?
Why should we bother?
What makes it great?

Great Questions are the can openever of consciousness. When are we ever encouraged to ask questions?
When we ask questions they lead to answers. Those things we studied in school those answers all came
from questions that were once asked. Questions are the prescursor in every branch of human knowledge.

So what happens when we ask a Great Question - it opens the door to the unknown and the unpredictable. Think about it, the moment that you ask a questions that you do not know the answer to, you open yourself up to a field of all possibilities.
Lets take something simple for example.
You've lost your house keys. So you ask yourself where they could be.
They could be anywhere.
Under the bed.
In the car.
Outside on the patio.
In a pair of pants.
In a jacket.
On the floor.
On the dresser.
They could have even been sucked into a time vortex that you just didnt happen to see when you shut your bedroom door this morning Very Happy
What I am trying to get at, is look at all the possibilities you have to such a simple question.
Imagine the possibilities you can be faced with if you ask a Great Question.

It takes bravery to ask a questions because the answer you get you may not like or agree with?
Or maybe it makes you uncomfortable, or carries you out side of your "safe zone".

So what makes a question great? A Great Question could be anything. Its a question that can change the direction of your life. As Dr. Wolf said, asking a Great Question can open of new ways of being in the world. It can be a catalyst for transformation. Growing. Outgrowing. Moving on.

What is the one thing that we know for sure?
We can not be sure of the past because it has already happened, we can not be sure of the future because it hasnt happened yet. The only thing that we can be sure of is NOW. The present, because its happening right now. You know what you are doing in this present moment, what your thinking, feeling, experiencing....
